Adapting your home to be clutter free
We understand that in every home, there are certain items and appliances that are essential to day to day life. Integral items that, should they be removed, would cause a totally shift in dynamic and alter the way you interact with your home. However, they often take up space on the work surfaces, creating a cluttered, disorganised feeling. That’s where we come in. At Anglia Kitchens and Bedrooms, we are constantly asked about smart solutions that can elevate the home to have all that it needs, but tucked away so that it’s not always staring you in the face. We have compiled our favourites for you to consider for your home.
Integrated appliances in the kitchen:
Seems like an obvious one, right? Wrong. You’d be surprised how many people compromise a massive amount of space in their kitchen because of their huge appliances. A fridge/freezer shoved on the end next to a cupboard or a cooker so large, there’s no room for anything else. Integrating your appliances takes away the bulkiness and allows your kitchen to seem more organised and modern.
Disguise your fridge with a cupboard door to look like an additional cabinet or pop a front on your dishwasher next to your sink. This can instantly streamline the room and ensures a uniform appearance.
The same applies with your cooking facilities. Traditionally ovens are large – great for cooking but not so great for gorgeous design. We recommend the NEFF Hide and Slide oven which can be tucked away to create more space. The door, slides underneath the oven allowing you more room to move around but also lets you get closer to what you are cooking – perfect!
Decluttering the work-tops:
There is nothing worse than a messy work-top. Whether it be a desk, a coffee table or units in your kitchen – having lots of things thrown across them instantly creates a sense of disorganisation. Our aim is to simplify our customers living and working areas, to ensure maximum productivity with minimal clutter.
Building plug sockets into your counter tops or creating a space for disposable waste eliminates unsightly cables and waste. We also love the idea of double layered drawers and swinging cupboards to store all your extra cutlery or mugs in your kitchen, and magazines or newspapers in your living room.
Your bedroom is an extension of yourself. Full to the brim with personal items, it’s not uncommon for them to become a little untidy. They are sanctuaries and places of relaxation, which is why resistance to the chores of housework often occurs here. However, a beautiful room can remain beautiful with the right storage solutions.
Usually the wardrobe takes up the most space so it’s important to choose one that compliments the aesthetic you are trying to achieve. We can build you a bespoke wardrobe based around your fashion needs & preferences. Perhaps you need somewhere to store all your shoes so that they can be seen, or maybe you think the wooden fronts are too harsh in your soft style room and frosted fronts would work better. Whatever you have in mind, we can design it to maximise the space!
Furniture takes up a lot of space too so we like to adapt smaller pieces to give you as much room as possible. Perhaps you need a night stand to stand a lamp on or a place to leave your night time read but don’t have the space for a full on square table. What about a floating night stand? Eliminating the need for the legs gives you space underneath to pop your slippers.
The beauty of bespoke design is that it can be adapted to you and your specifications. With the customer in mind, we can tailor any of the above solutions to extreme maximum benefits for the customer.
