CASE STUDY – Transforming a kitchen/diner
Before Christmas we were extremely busy with installations, preparing for the big Christmas feast. From small family affairs to big party people, we had a range of requirements from our customers. This was our last project before Christmas began and what a way to leave 2017!
The project was a big undertaking, as it involved merging two existing rooms into one. The customer wished to transform a kitchen and a dining room into an open plan living space. We knocked through the central wall, opening it up into a large, highly workable space.
Some customers like to take the backseat when it comes to design. Others, however, prefer to be right up there in the passenger seat. This customer already knew what they wanted, so collaboration was key.
To start, the doors needed to be a high gloss finish in two separate colours, hand finished to the customer’s specification. To compliment them, the work tops are a 28mm solid siltstone Quartz granite with a mirror fleck.
Our customer wanted somewhere to be able to store all of their mugs so we also created this custom pull out cabinet, large enough to store them all in.
We work closely with NEFF, and this kitchen isn’t short of appliances from them. We helped fit a Hide and Slide oven, induction hob and canopy extractor. This kitchen also makes use of the NEFF microwave – which we highly recommend!
To finish off and compliment the room, the floor was latex’d and covered with Karndean floor in a maple finish.
This was a great project for us and we are so happy with the results – if you like what you see here and would like to discuss a new installation in your own home, head to our contact us page to get in touch and arrange your first design consultation.
